We designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website that allows the client to effectively showcase their work, whilst transforming the platform into their primary communication tool for businesses based in Vauxhall, London.

An impact-focussed and brand-oriented website

Vauxhall One’s previously in-house built website did not reflect their position as one of London’s leading BIDs. The client sought to showcase their past achievements, ongoing projects, news, events, and more, through a professional and credible WordPress website built especially to address their unique wants and needs.

Drawing inspiration from features on other BID websites, they requested a platform that would enable them to communicate and publish content effectively, drawing more attention to the amazing work taking place to improve the Vauxhall area of London.

While they already had a consumer-facing website beinvauxhall.com with a creative and playful tone, their goal for this site was to achieve a more corporate and professional look - without coming across as cold or, let’s be honest, boring.

Result

A clean and content rich bespoke WordPress website

The result is a sleek and professional WordPress website that helps to re-position Vauxhall One as one of London’s top BIDs. The new site effectively showcases their past projects, ongoing initiatives, news, and events.

The design strikes the perfect balance between corporate professionalism and approachability, avoiding the cold, overly formal feel that often accompanies business websites. Instead, we delivered a polished and clean look that remains inviting and active.

There are video backgrounds embedded from Vimeo, a sticky header and comprehensive footer for easy navigation. In addition to this there is filtering for past and present projects, as well as initiatives 'project types', so content is well organised and can be effectively displayed in locations around the site.

One of my favourite touches is the layout for projects which allows for specific projects to be showcased i.e. take up more screen real estate either horizontally or vertically.

Overall, the site not only meets the client’s goals but also positions Vauxhall One as a modern, authoritative presence within the BID sector.
