01What does a WordPress agency do?
A WordPress agency designs, builds, hosts and maintains websites on WordPress. At Lewis Edward that means bespoke design, hand-coded development, WooCommerce, migrations, hosting and ongoing support from one small London team, rather than passing you between departments.
02How much does a WordPress website cost in the UK?
Our bespoke WordPress websites start from £5,000 and go up from there depending on the number of templates, integrations and content. A simple brochure site sits at the lower end; e-commerce, membership or multilingual builds at the upper end. We quote a fixed price after a discovery call, so you know the number before any work starts.
03How long does a WordPress agency take to build a site?
A brochure site takes 4-6 weeks from signed-off designs; a larger build with custom functionality takes 8-12 weeks. We give you a dated plan up front and a staging link from the first week.
04Do you use page builders like Elementor?
Not by default. We prefer to hand-code bespoke themes with Advanced Custom Fields for editing, which keeps sites fast, secure and free of plugin bloat. If your agency or client has a preferred CMS, page builder or platform, we're happy to work with it on request.
05Do you only work with London businesses?
We're based in London and most of our clients are UK brands, but we work with organisations across Europe and the US over video calls and shared tools. The process is the same wherever you are.
06Can you take over a WordPress site another agency built?
Yes. We audit it first, tell you honestly what's worth keeping, and then either fix and support it or plan a rebuild. Plenty of our support clients came to us this way.
